My Creative Time-Thrifty Thursday

Good morning!! Today, is Thrifty Thursday over at My Creative Time.

We are to create any project- card, scrapbook page, or anything, using scraps/leftovers or recycled items.

I decided to create a card with scraps I have in my scrap bin. I need to get better at using my scraps and this will really help me out! My bin is overflowing! LOL!

So here is what I came up with using my scraps along with everything I already had on hand.

For the card base, I used a freebie from KaDoodle Bug Designs: Hexagon Shaped Card. Unfortunately, it is no longer free but you can still purchase it. Instead of using the cut file's small hexagons, I used the MCT: Stitched Hexy Dies middle sized one. I found several coordinating scraps to cut them out of. Then I added white pen stitching and twine to the top.

Next, I cut the little bee girl out from SVG Cutting Files: Cute as Can Bee File set. I stamped her face using Peachy Keen Stamps: The Moodies Face Assortment. I colored the eyes with a Copic Marker and chalked her cheeks. I also added glossy accents to her bee hat (though it doesn't really show in the picture). I finished by added a few white gel pen accents to her hair and body.

I created the flower by using the shamrock die from MCT: You're My Pot of Gold Stamp Set and MCT: Stitched Daisy Die. I just layered several shamrocks together to create the flower. Then I used the stem and center from the daisy to put it all together. I really wanted to use the daisy but it was a little too big compared to her. I added glossy accents to the center and then put clear glitter on top.

For the sentiment, I cut out a banner from MCT: Vintage Stitched Label Die out of Kraft paper. Then I cut out a smaller banner from the MCT: Chocolate Greetings Stamp Set. Then I stamped on the sentiment from the same set.

I finished by cutting out two small size hearts and one medium from the MCT: Stitched Layering Heart Dies. I then added them in various spot on the card.

All products used:

Copic Markers
White Gelly Roll Pen
Glossy Accents
Clear Glitter
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Inkadinkadoo Chalk Ink
Spritz Twine

My Creative Time-Made in Minutes

Happy Monday!! Today is Made in Minutes over at My Creative Time!

Here is what I came up with in 15 minutes!

I must admit that this was a bit of a challenge for me. I like to add a lot of detail and had to learn to simplify. Though I like how it turned out for being a quick project!

Step 1: I cut the little treat box from SVG Cutting Files: Mini Nugget Platform Bases. I then proceeded to fill the treat box with sweethearts candy. This took me about three minutes total to cut it out and put it together.

Step: 2:  I cut the large heart from MCT: Sweethearts & XOXO dies. Then I added an adorable Peachy Keen Stamps: Sweet On You face to it. I colored the eyes with Copic Markers and added chalk ink to the cheeks. This all took about four minutes.

Step 3: I cut out 5 smaller pink hearts from the MCT: Sweethearts & XOXO dies and 4 smaller red hearts from MCT: 4x4 Journal Die & More. Then I adhered them to the box. This took around three minutes.

Step 4: I cut out a sentiment banner from MCT: Chocolate Greetings Stamp set and then added the sentiment from MCT: Once Upon a Time Stamp Set. Next, I cut out two more little hearts to add to the banner. This took around three minutes.

Step: 5 I finished the projects by adding pearl accents to the hearts and twine. This took a couple of minutes.

Products Used:

 Sweethearts & XOXO dies
Chocolate Greeting Stamp Set
Once Upon a Time... Stamp Set

My Creative Time-Sketch Challenge

Good morning! Today we are having a sketch challenge over at My Creative Time

So here is what I came up with based on the sketch. I took certain elements from it and changed them up a bit. Which really helped me come up with this whimsical layout.

I am so behind on my scrapbook layouts!! Though for some reason I have been having a urge to scrap these particular photos from when my hubby surprised us with his R&R right before my son's third birthday. It was so nice to have him home for a bit after he had already been gone almost 9 months. R&R's are so wonderful but never long enough.

I used Recollections: Kraft card stock for the base and added white gel pen stitching. Next, I created the backgrounds with Recollections: Pink Linen and DCWV: Chevron/Notebook papers.

Then I used a mass amount of My Creative Time Products to add character to the layout. I loved how they all flowed together so wonderfully!

Just in case you are wondering, I left the journal card blank to take a picture and then filled it in after the fact. At times, my journaling is very personal and so I just decided not to share it at this time.

Below in the product list you can click on each MCT product used and it will take you directly to each item in the shop.

Products used:

Stamps

Dies
MCT: 4x4 Journal & More Die (banner and tiny hearts)

My Creative Time- Scrapping the Little Things

Happy Monday!! Today, is my first time joining in on Scrapping the Little Things over at My Creative Time.

I had so much fun creating this layout!! I love how Emma's products really help to bring my scrapbook layouts to another level. They are so easy and fun to work with! Plus, they are so versatile!! The possibilities are endless!!

As you have probably already read, this is my youngest son when he was just 7 weeks old. I so wish they could stay this little for a bit longer.

I had done a little photo shoot with him and some blocks I had gotten from the dollar area in Target. Since they only stay little once, I wanted to capture as much as I could!

After I had created the base of my layout using card stock, pattern paper, and my photo, I started to embellished it with My Creative Time products.

I added little hearts from the MCT: Sweethearts and XOXO dies to the corners of the pattern paper.

Then I stamped a sentiment from MCT: Puffy Hearts For You onto the MCT: Stitched Tab Die. I finished the tab by adding little hearts from the MCT: 4x4 Journal and More Die Set.

I jazzed up the ribbon by adhering a bunch of xoxo's from the MCT: Sweethearts and XOXO dies. Then I cut out three different size hearts from the same set using card stock and burlap paper.

Lastly, I stamped on his name and age using the letters and a number from the MCT: Just Simply Live Stamp Set onto cut outs from the MCT: Stitched and Curly Label Dies. Once again, I added two little hearts from the MCT: 4x4 Journal and More Die set.

Below I have listed everything I used to create this layout. Plus, all the links will take you directly to each My Creative Time product.

Products used:
My Mind's Eye: Love Collection Pattern Papers
Recollections Card Stock
Recollections Burlap Paper
White Gelly Roll Pen
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Cricut Art Philosophy (banners)
Cricut Birthday Bash (postage stamp background)
Brads and ribbon from my stash

My Creative Time 29th Release Blog Hop

Hello! Hope you're enjoying the hop so far with this fabulous release!! You should have arrived from Ruthie's Blog, if not, please head HERE to start at the beginning.

I'm so excited to share my project using the "Winter Flakes" and "You're So Cool". Which are both available now!! They are both a must have as well as the rest of the release, so go to the My Creative Time Shoppe and gets yours before they are all sold out!!

I had so much fun creating this card!! Love these snow flakes!!!

I first cut the card base out from Lori Whitlock's Scallop Center Step Card. Then I created the faux stitching all around the edges of the Kraft card. Then I glued down the pattern paper. I finished off the base of the card using some American Crafts twine to cover up a blank spot below the center.

Then I started to create my embellishments. I cut the MCT: Stitched Doily out of Vellum first. Next, I cut the large snowflake from SVG cutting files out using Glitter paper from American Crafts. Instead of cutting the center out with my cutting machine, I cut out the circle from MCT: Scallop & Stitched Circle Die. Lastly, I stamped onto the circle from Peachy Keen Stamps: Sweet on You Face Assortment.

Once, I got my center done, I cut the largest and middle flakes from the new MCT: Winter Flakes out using the same American Crafts Glitter Paper. This time I cut a smaller circle for the faces from the MCT: Build a Banner Kit. Once again, I stamped different faces on each one from the Peachy Keen: Sweet On You Face Assortment.

Last, I stamped the sentiment from the MCT: You're So Cool Stamp Set on to a cut out from the MCT: Vintage Label Die. Then I adhered it all to the card!

All products used:
SVG Cutting Files Snowflake
LW-Center Scallop Step Card
AC Ocean and White Glitter Paper
AC Light Blue and White Twine
Copic Markers
White Gelly Roll Pen
Stardust Gelly Roll Pen
Little Yellow Bicycle Pattern Paper

My Creative Time Sneak Peeks Day #4

Hello and welcome to the 4th and final day of My Creative Time Sneak Peeks for the 29th release!! I am so excited to share this last project with you all!! You are going to love these set of dies!!

Today we will be sneak peeking "Stitched Surprise Pop Out Card" & "Stitched Gift Card Pocket Die".

I had so much fun working with this set of dies and made a little shaker gift card holder.

For the front, I decorated it with snow flakes from the new "Winter Flakes", little hearts from the "Stitched Sweethearts & XOXO", and Recollections Pearls.

I then stamped the sentiment from the "You're So Cool" stamp set on to a cut out from the MCT: Vintage Label Die.

I stamped and paper pieced the adorable little snowman from the "You're So Cool" stamp set using Tuxedo Black, Tangelo, and Lady Bug Red Memento Inks. Then I added a bit of shadow to him with a Copic marker. I just love his aviator glasses!! EEK!

Once I constructed the shaker front I filled it up with glitter that I purchased from Hobby Lobby, attached it to the back, and then I had an instant shaker card.

I finished the project by stamping the next sentiment also from "You're So Cool" onto the cut out from the larger MCT: Square Stitched Goody Die.

Then I added the "Stitch Gift Card Pocket" on the back of the shaker part and then added more snowflakes.

All products used:
Tangelo, Tuxedo Black, and Lady Bug Memento Inks
Recollections Pearls
My Minds Eye Pattern Paper
Recollections Kraft and Red Card stock
