Happy Friday!! It is a rainy and stormy day here. My oldest has a day off of school for teacher's in service and I wish we weren't stuck in the house. Oh well, we will make the best of it.
Today, I have a layout to share with you. I created it with the new Peachy Keen April 2013 Stamp of the Month set! I love this set! It is so perfect for spring!!!
The bees, bee hive, butterflies, flowers, and honey jar are all from this set!! Aren't they just bee-u-tiful?! I sure think so!!!
For the bees, I cut and paper pieced the body. I colored in the yellow areas with a Copic marker. Then I stamp and paper pieced the wings on vellum. Since the ink wouldn't dry. I put clear embossing powder of it and then used the heat gun on it. I added white gel pen accent and Inkadinkado chalking ink to the cheeks.
The bee hive was also stamped and paper pieced. I colored the hole with a Copic marker and added white gel pen accents. I then finished it off by adding a small bow to the top with American Crafts' brown Baker's Twine.
The flowers were all stamped onto white card stock, then paper pieced, and colored with Copic markers. I finished them off to with white gel pen accents.
The beautiful butter flies were stamped onto white card stock and then colored with Copic Markers.
The honey jar, I stamped on white card stock and then colored with Copic Markers. I then stamped another jar onto vellum and then heat embossed it as I did the bee wings. I used the MS drippy goo punch to help create the dripping honey. I then put Glossy Accents on top of it. I then colored the jar lid and label with Copic markers and then added white gel pen accents.
The papers I used were from Recollection's Bee Hive and Turquoise Notebook Paper. They both came from Michaels. The title was cut from Cricut's Nursery Rhymes and the punch around the page set is from Martha Stewart's Three Loop Punch (not really sure of the name right now). Oh, and the grass comes from Martha Stewart's Birthday Cakes Cricut Cartridge.
Thanks for stopping by!! Hope you have a fabulous weekend and happy creating!!
