My Creative Time: Tag It Tuesday

Hi, today is Tag It Tuesday over on the My Creative Time Blog.

I just happen to come across this video from Stampin' Gals Gone Wild and she made the cutest little Hershey Kiss flowers for Easter. I thought how fun they would be for Valentine's day to create something similar using Emma's dies and stamps.

For my flowers, I first cut out two flower die cuts in each color using MCT: Rolled Flower Dies. I inked the edges with coordinating Memento inks. I rolled my flowers first with the end of a paint brush. Then I unraveled them a bit. I loosely but the first flower together with a glue gun so their was enough room for the kiss to sit in the middle. Then I added the second flower layer to create a larger bloom. I then used the end of my paint brush to curl the ends of the flowers down. Since I didn't have a low temp glue gun, I glued the kisses in with Glossy Accents.

Once I had the base of the flower created, I added two flowers on the bottom cut from MCT: Flower Petal dies and MCT: Stitched Pretty Flowers. Then I added two leaves from  MCT: Stitched Leaves. I covered them up with another smaller flower from MCT: Stitched Pretty Flowers.

I stamped the sentiments from MCT: Teeny Tag Greetings and Teeny Tag Holidays onto the MCT: Teeny Tags Layering dies. I just love these little tags! I then added them to the flowers by tying them with American Crafts Twine around the base of the flower.

A fun little treat for the upcoming Valentine's day! So easy and fun to make!!
