My Creative Time: Manly Monday

Hi today is Manly Monday over on the My Creative Time Blog. Today, I have a fun little gift card holder to share for the Mr. Fixit in your life.

The little Embossed Gift Card Holder was first cut out of kraft card stock. Red and white card stock mats were cut out using the More Stitched Rectangular Dies. They were layered and adhered onto the gift card holder.

The tools and tool box from the Greatest Handyman Stamp Set, were stamped and cut out using the coordinating dies. The tool box was paper pieced out of craft card stock and the rest of the tools were colored in with Copic markers. The sentiment, "Mr. Fixit!", was stamped onto the front of the tool box. The little tools were added to the tool box and then the whole thing was pop dotted onto the front of the gift card holder.

The sentiment,"Happy Birthday, was stamped at the top of the card using black embossing powder and embossing ink. The two little washers were added on both sides of the sentiment. To finish the card, two little mini sequins were added to the tool box.

My Creative Time: Sneak Peeks Day 4: 58th Edition Release

Hi and welcome to day 4 of sneak peeks for the My Creative Time: 58th Edition Release. Today we are sneaking the spectacular Spooky Time Stamp Set. You are just going to love this set!! It has so many great Halloween images and sentiments to create some spooktacular creations. I decided to create a fun little coffin treat box with some of the new dies and some oldies. I love how it turned out!!

The little coffin was cut out using two dies from the new Spooky Time Stamp Set. The orange layer was created by tracing the smaller coffin die and then cutting it out by hand. Once it was all put together, the sentiment was stamped on the front using embossing ink and white embossing powder. The little bat added to the bottom was also cut out using a die from this new set. Clear Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents were added to the top of it.

The smaller Scallop Stitched Rosette Die was used to create the pretty orange rosette.
Then a spooky spider web from the Wicked Fun Dies was added to the top of the rosette. Next, the fun little skull was cut out twice and glued together to make it pop. The skull die is also from the new Spooky Time Stamp Set. A piece of black card stock was cut to fit the back of the skull to really make the eyes stand out. The little candle light in the eye was colored in with Copic markers. The skull was added to the center of the rosette/spider web and then topped with Glossy Accents.

The Treat Box Slider Die was used to create the treat holder to go on the back of the coffin. Each piece was cut out of black card stock. The treat holder was glued onto the back of the coffin. The little nugget wraps were cut out using the same pattern paper as the front of the coffin. Once wrapped, each nugget was topped with a fun Halloween die cut. The witch hat is from the Classy Girl Accessories Dies. The little spider is from the Wicked Fun Dies. The little bat is from the new Spooky Time Stamp Set. It is the smaller bat from the die set. Lastly, the bone is from the Loyal Friends Stamp Set.

A fun unique take on a coffin treat box using only MCT products!! These will be so fun to hand out this upcoming Halloween.

My Creative Time: Sneak Peeks day 2: 58th Edition Release

Hi and welcome to day two of sneak peeks for the My Creative Time: 58th Edition Release. Today we are sneaking the fabulous new Gobble Gobble Stamp Set. There are many adorable fall images as well as some beautiful sentiments to go along with them. When I saw this set I knew I wanted to create a beautiful fall Thanksgiving card. I love how easily it came together using this new set along with several other wonderful MCT products.

First the little turkey was stamped and cut out with a coordinating die from the Gobble Gobble Stamp Set. The stamped image was colored in with various Copic Markers. A bit of Glossy Accents was added to the beak, eye, feet, and wattle.

The orange mat was cut out using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies. The Stitched Postage Frame die cut was cut out using some Kraft card stock. The beautiful fall words stamp, also from the Gobble Gobble Stamp Set, was used to create a fun background on the Stitched Postage Frame die cut. The More Stitched Rectangular Dies were used to cut out the pattern paper. It was matted with a another piece of orange card stock that was measured to fit just behind the pattern paper rectangle.

To create a focal frame for the little turkey, two different sizes of Scallop Stitched Oval Die cuts were used. The turkey was added as well as the fun little banner, also from the Gobble Gobble Stamp Set. Then the beautiful sentiment was added to the banner.

Another piece of Kraft card stock was cut to create the card base. The four little fake enamel dots were made by using one of the dies from the Boughs of Holly Stamp Set. They were topped with Clear Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents.

My Creative Time: Sneak Peeks Day 1: 58th Edition Release

Hi and welcome to day 1 of sneak peeks for the My Creative Time: 58th Edition Release. Today we are sneaking the ever so cute, Candy Corn Kisses Stamp Set. I just love these adorable little candy corn die cuts and the fun little sentiments that go along with them!

I found this cute little candy corn colored treat bags and knew it would go perfectly with the new little candy corn images from the Candy Corn Kisses Stamp Set

I first stamped the smaller candy corn twice onto white card stock and cut them out with the coordinating die from the set. I then stamped the candy corn on orange and yellow card stock. I paper pieced each little section and glued them onto the original candy corn die cut. I added the adorable little faces to the candy corn from the Berry Special Stamp Set. The little cheeks were colored in with a Copic marker and the mouth/eyes were colored in with a white gel pen. I finished the candy corn by glittering them up with some Wink of Stella and then topping them with Glossy Accents.

There is a little image on the bag that I wanted to cover up, so I created an embellishment that would do so and highlight the little candy corn. I first cut out the large scallop circle from the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies in black card stock. Next, I cut out a pretty vellum doily using the Stitched Doily Die. I added two smaller circles using more dies from the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies. I then accented the doily with little circles that were cut out using a die from the Boughs of Holly Stamp Set. I added a bit of Wink of Stella to each one and topped them with Glossy Accents to create my own enamel dots. Once they were dried, I added my little candy corn to the center and glued the whole thing onto the little treat bag.

I filled the little treat bag with candy corn and then stapled it shut. The bag is waxy so I wasn't able to  stamp directly onto it, so I decided to create a little tag with the fun sentiment on it. I first cut out the tag using dies from the Holidays Tags Stamp & Die Stamp Set.  I added the little Stitched Round Tab Die to embellish the tag at the top. I then stamped on the fun sentiment from the Candy Corn Kisses Stamp Set onto the tag and embellished it with some little orange fake enamel dots I had made. Then I tied it onto the treat bag with some Halloween twine I had in my stash. I apologize, I do not know what brand it was.

They would be a bit time consuming to make ton for trick-or-treat night but they would be fun to give to a few special people in your life. I'm going to make a couple more to give to my kids when it gets closer to Halloween time. I know these would put a huge smile on their faces!

My Creative Time: What A Treat Wednesday

Hi and today is What A Treat Wednesday over on the My Creative Time blog. I created a fun little cherry gummy treat bag with my some fabulous MCT products.

To create my treat bag topper, I first used the die from the Just A Note Stamp Set. I wanted to add a sentiment at the bottom of it but it wouldn't simply fit with the size of the original die cut. So with a little patience, I slowly cut out the one side and partially the other side. Then I moved the die and cut the length that I wanted. This created the perfect treat topper for my bag.

I filled my little treat bag that I purchased at Wal-Mart with this delicious cherry dummies that I found at Hy-Vee and stapled my little topper onto the top of the bag before decorating it. I only got one staple in unfortunately because my little mini stapler finally decided to break after all these years. It was a sad day.

Back of the treat bag topper
I then stamped and colored the adorable little cherries from the Berry Special Stamp Set.  I cut them out with a coordinating die. I'm mean, how cute are those little cherries? Love this set and the little faces!! I also added a bit of Glossy Accents to the eyes, mouth, and cheeks.

I created the background layer for the cherries with a beautiful red Bunch of Stitched Doily Die cut as well as a white Bunch of Fun Circle Die cut. I added it to the front of the topper and then stamped on the sentiment, also from the Berry Special Stamp Set. I then tied a little bit of American Crafts twine to the topper and added a cute little heart that was cut out using the heart glasses die from the You Had Me At Meow Stamp Set. I glittered the heart up with Wink of Stella and then added some Glossy Accents on top.

I finished the little treat topper by adding some cute little sequins and now its ready to sweeten someone special's day.

My Creative Time: Inspiration Wednesday

Hi, today is Inspiration Wednesday over on the My Creative Time Blog. The inspiration for my card today comes from my grandmother. Today is her birthday and I wanted to create a
simple birthday card for her using some fabulous MCT products.

I first cut out the pink pattern paper rectangle using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies. I then cut out the next layer of the card out in vellum using the Stitched Postage Frame Dies. The next two layers of the card were cut out using the More Stitched Rectangular Dies.

The cute little candles were cut out using a die from the Make A Wish Stamp Set. I colored the wicks in with a Memento Tuxedo Black Ink marker. I colored the little flames with a Copic marker. I then added some glitter glue to them and topped them with Glossy Accents. I set them aside to dry while I cut out the pieces for the sentiment.

I first cut out the sentiment label in white card stock using a die from the Fun Vertical Greetings Stamp Set. I wanted the label to be a certain size on the card, so I just carefully cut it down with the same die. I then cut out the scallop layer out of the pretty pink pattern paper and used another die from the same set. I then proceeded to cut it down as well using the same die in my Cuttlebug. I wanted the banner to fit just right behind them but some of the banner dies weren't looking how I wanted, so I created my own banner by carefully cutting out two Ribbon End Banner Dies without fully cutting the one side out when running it through the machine. I then stamped on the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Greatest Handyman Stamp Set.

I cut out my card base using white card stock and then added everything once my candles were dry. I  finished the card by embellishing it with some fun little mini white pearl sequins. I love how it all came together and I hope she loves it as well.

Here is a picture of my beautiful grandma that I took recently. She is definitely an inspirational woman and I want to wish her a very Happy Birthday!!
