My Creative Time: 35th Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the My Creative Time 35th Release Blog Hop!

If you have made it here from Ruthie's blog then you are in the right place. If you have just stopped by or have gotten lost along the way please head on over to Emma's Blog for the full hop order.

Today, I am showcasing the new "Camera Bottom Layer Die".

I created this little Smash Book page entry of my daughter when she had just turned four months old using some new dies along with some older dies. I love how you can combine any of Emma's dies to create a project.

I first created the polaroid picture look with MCT: Stitched "Capture" Frame with Arrow. I then matted it with a "pre sneak"!

For the camera, I combined the "new" Camera layer die with MCT: Stitched Camera Die, and the circles/heart from MCT: Picture Perfect. I added glossy accents to the lens part.

I added the "oh snap" and "picture perfect" to the stitched "capture" frame from MCT: Picture Perfect.

I added the small star from MCT: 3 star Stitched Dies to the corner of the frame.

The little rik rak line is from the new MCT: Tag Die Layers.

I added the little smile and the heart also come from MCT: Picture Perfect.

I finished the by added the green arrow from MCT: Stitched "Capture" Frame and Arrow.

"Freebie Stamp"

Peachy Keen Stamps: Trendspotting

If you are looking for the My Creative Time Day #4 Sneak Peeks please click here.

Hi, I am sharing a trendsetting project.

I am a bit late to the Smash Book trend but it's never too late to start. So I created my very first entry into my book. It's of my son's first day of 2nd grade.

I cut the cute little boy from Too Cute By Jessica's: School is Cool. For his face, I used PKS: 1410 Christmas In July Face Assortment. Before I added the face, I used a baby wipe to take the ink off of the eyelashes on the stamp to create more of a boy look. I colored the eyes in with a Copic  marker and chalk his cheeks. After I had pieced him all together I added white gel pen accents to his hat, hair, body, and backpack.

I added the cute little face to the apple using PKS-1403 Popcorn People. The apple and pencil were cut from My Creative Time's Love to Learn Dies. The title was cut from My Creative Time's Uppercase Fun dies, Lowercase Fun dies, and Number Fun dies plus add ons. I added white gel pen accents to every one as well.

I am so glad that I took the plunge and created my first Smash book page. A simple and fun way to scrap those special memories!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful crafty day!

P.S.

We would love for you to join us in our August PKS Linky Party as well as our PKS 14-Challenge.

My Creative Time: Sneak Peeks Day #4

Today, is day #4 of Sneak Peeks for the My Creative Time's 35th Release! Today, we are sneaking the "Tag Die Layers" which coordinates with the MCT: Tag Dies.

I am so glad that Miss Emma created these!! I LOVE THEM!! Now I don't have to cut the shadowing layer by hand!!

They add just the right element to your tags.

So here is what I created using these new amazing dies!!

For my first tag, I decided to use the super cute puppy dog from MCT: Loyal Friends Stamp Set. The little fence, dog bone, and the paw print all come from this set as well. The little heart he is holding in his mouth is from MCT: Stitched Heart Layering Dies.

The sentiment is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink from MCT: Live Love Bark.

I layered the grass with MCT: Stitched Grass die and added the clouds from MCT: Stitched Cartoon Cloud Dies.

I used MCT: Stitched Round Tab to cover the tag hole and ran Recollection's Paw Print ribbon through it. Then I tied it off with twine and added the paw print to it.

For this tag, I used the pretty bee from MCT: Bee Happy Stamp Set and MCT: Stitched Bees and Beehive dies. I colored the bee with Copic markers and used Stickles on his wings.

For his bee trail, I used a stamp from MCT: Live, Love, Laugh & Be Happy Stamp Set.

I created the pretty flower using MCT: Flower Petal Dies and MCT: Pretty Stitched Flowers and Leaves. I added Stickles to the center.

I stamped on the sentiment also from MCT: Bee Happy Stamp Set onto the smallest banner from MCT: Trio Stitched Banner Dies.

I added the tab cover to the hole from MCT: Stitched Round Tab and ran Recollection's Jute Ribbon through it.

To finish the tag, I added a small heart from MCT: Stitched Sweethearts and XOXO's dies to the ribbon as well as enamel dots to the base tag.

My Creative Time: Sneak Peeks Day #2

Today, is day #2 of Sneak Peeks for the My Creative Time's 35th Release! I just love these paint splatter stamps to the moon and back!!

We are sneaking "Family is Everything Stamps and Dies".

Here is what I've created using these amazing new products!

I first started out by cutting out a white card stock rectangle using the MCT: Stitched 4x6 Journal Die.  I used the paint splatter stamps along with Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, and Mustard Seed. These stamps made it so easy to create a cool background.

After I had the background matted and adhered to the card base. I added a strip of black cardstock to the front. I then cut out the word "love" using the new die.

Next, I used Versamark ink to stamp " Do all things with" with Recollections Snow Embossing Powder.

Then to finish the card, I cut out two pink little hearts using MCT: Sweethearts and XOXO's dies.

***Sneak Peek giveaway!***

My Creative Challenge: Picture/Color Challenge

Hi, today over on the My Creative Time blog is a photo/color challenge based on the picture below. You can create a project using inspiration from the photo, the colors, or both!

Here is what I came up with-

When I saw the picture I automatically thought of creating a little orange using the MCT: Bunch of Fun Circles and MCT: Pretty Stitched Flowers and Leaves. I added a cute Peachy Keen face to it and chalked her cheeks. Then I finished her look by adding a little twine bow.

For the tag base, I used MCT: Just Tags. I added white gel pen stitching to the bottom layer of the tag.

I framed the little orange with MCT: Stitched Mini Frame I then added the part of the sentiment "You're sweet as honey" from MCT: Bee Happy Stamp Set.

I then adhered the little tag to a bag the candied orange slices.

I finished the project by adding a cute little MCT: Fun Sized Scallop Stitched Bow to the bag and added a faux pearl.

For more amazing inspiration please head on over to Miss Emma's blog!!

Have a wonderful day!! Happy Creating!!

First up is the sketch.  Feel free to rotate it, flip it, or change it up however you’d like just as long s the basic elements of the sketch are still part of your creation.

Here is what I came up with based on the sketch and using most of the colors.

I just love these super cute zombies that Kathy has created and thought that I wanted to create a zombie card with this super cute sentiment.

I first stamped and paper pieced the super cute little zombies from PKS-Faceless Zombie Kids 2 by Jessica Weible. For the little zombie girl I used the new PKS-Zombie Face Assortment. I also used Copic markers are a few parts of each one.

I then stamped on the sentiment from PKS-Halloween Sentiments and Label onto the grave stone from PKS-Ye Old Boneyard. I added white gel pen stitching and white dots to it as well.

I stamped on just the drippy goo from the PKS-Happy Halloween Background stamp onto the green card stock with Memento Black Ink.

I added black grass that I cut out using my Cuttlebug and the MCT: Stitched Grass Die.

I embellished the corners with Recollection's Halloween Enamel Dots.

My Creative Time: Color/Photo Challenge

Hi, today over on the My Creative Time blog we have a Color/Photo Challenge. We have to create a photograph based on the following photograph.

Here is what I came up with using these beautiful colors!

For the base I first started with a 4 3/4" by 4 3/4" Kraft card stock square card. I then added my blue and yellow card stock squares to the base.

I then cut out the striped pattern paper using MCT: 4x4 Journal Die and More.

I added the sentiment from MCT: Loyal Friends Stamp Set to the MCT: Large Cloud Bubble Edge Die. I also added the little cut out paw prints from Loyal Friends too.

I then added the grass from MCT: Stitched Grass Die.

I cut the dog house and cute little dog also from MCT: Loyal Friends Stamp Set. I added the cute little face to the dog using Peachy Keen Stamps: Happy-Go-Lucky Dog face assortment.

Once I added the dog house and dog to the card, I added the ribbon to the bottom and put the little heart from MCT: Sweethearts and XOXO's dies.

Thank you so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a wonderful day!! For more amazing design team inspiration please head on over to Miss Emma's Blog!

Peachy Keen Stamps: Halloween Release Blog Hop

Welcome Friends to the Peachy Keen Stamps Halloween Release for 2014.
The time has FINALLY arrived!  We’re here and we’re ready to get hopping!  We’ve shared four fabulous days of sneak peeks with you and we’ve been as exited as we could be for the time when we could show you EVERYTHING!  If you’re a Stamp of the Month Club member then you’ve already had a look at the SOTM set. All of these perfectly coordinated stamps are NOW available in the Peachy Keen Shop, and even better, you can grab all your favorites from the August Release at 20% off.  SWEET!!

You should have arrived here from Gigi's Blog, if you’re hopping along in the set order, but if you just happened upon this post then you can go back to the beginning at The Peachy Keen Stamps Blog and start from there so you don’t miss any wonderful project.

This whole release is so spectacular! If any one can make zombies look cute, it's Kathy! I think they are the cutest little zombies I've ever seen! I just knew I had to create a project using them.

NOW share my project for the hop!

I just knew I wanted to create a graveyard and I found the perfect cut file from SVG cutting files to go along with Kathy's amazing creations.

I first cut out each piece of the cut file with various card stock I had. I added white chalk ink to the trees, the base, and fence.

I then added the amazingly creepy sentiments and images from PK-Ye Old Boneyard, PK-Halloween Sentiments and Labels, and PK-August 2014 Stamp of the Month Set to the tombstones and then inked the sides with black memento ink.

I then colored and cut out each zombie kid from PK-Faceless Zombie Kids 1 and 2 by Jessica Weible. Their faces are from the new amazing PK-Zombie Face Assortment. I took a bit of black ink and dirtied them up a bit with it. I then added them to the trees.

I finished by adding the label and sentiment from PK-Halloween Sentiments and Labels anto the front of the fence.

It is meant for cupcakes to go in it but I thought Halloween candy was more appropriate for this project.

PRIZE ALERT :: PRIZE ALERT :: PRIZE ALERT
We want to say thank you to all our loyal peachy friends by offering a little something to say thanks for hopping along with us. For every comment you leave here and on the designer blogs, you'll receive one entry for a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate from PKS. We'll choose one winner randomly from all the comments.
