Welcome Back to School Project

Hi! Last weekend we had a Back to School Facebook Fan page hop for KaDoodle Bug Designs and Too Cute by Jessica. The DT made some amazing projects!!  Thank you to all who stopped by and left some love on all of our pages.

Here is my creations for the hop.

I created the cute little worm and chalkboard card from Feelin' Nerdy Bears: Too Cute By Jessica.

For the little worm, I used Peachy Keen's Erkle and Merkle Face Assortment. For his glasses I used a retired PK set called Accessories Assortment One. I then filled in the glasses with Glossy Accents. I outlined the worm body with green Color Box ink.

I added Gelly Roll Clear Star faux pen stitching to the outside edges of the card. The little stars are from a die cut from My Creative Time and I added a sequin on top. The ribbon I purchased from A.C. Moore.

I picked these adorable little pencil candy holder's up at A.C. Moore a few months ago and thought they would be perfect for this project. They are filled with skittles since I thought the "s" would be appropriate for school.

The tag is also from a My Creative Time Die cut. I did the worm exactly the same and put him on an apple this time. The apple comes from Apple Shaped Card: KaDoodleBug Designs. I removed the worm hole and the thank you from it. I had to put the stem and leaf low so it wouldn't cover the worm up. Even though it doesn't show well in the picture, I too, added clear star faux stitching to the apples.

For the sentiment, I printed it out on "Word" and cut it out with a Dienamics die cut.

Right now both sites KaDoodle Bug Designs and Too Cute by Jessica are having a 50% off sale with no minimum purchase required. That is an amazing deal!! So please head on over and check out both of their amazing files!!

Peachy Keen Card Challenge: Sympathy

Hi! It has been a bit since I've posted on blogger! I had a lovely few weeks visiting family in the Midwest and decided to take a computer break. It was so great getting to have face to face conversations and not be glued to my Ipad or computer.

Well now that I'm back it is time to get back into the swing of things in the crafting world. Today, we have a new challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps. It is a Just Cards Challenge and you are to make a sympathy card.

So here is my sweet but simple card:

The little kitty cat comes from PK-289 Misty Sue and Colby Cheer Up. I stamped and paper pieced the body. I then stamped the image onto the oval and colored in the flowers with Copic Markers.

The sentiment comes from PK-159 Thinking of You Bear. I stamped the sentiment onto a die cut that comes from My Creative Time.

The flower comes from PK-208 Hey Baby. I stamped and paper pieced the flower. I then used a light blue ink on the edges and added little blue pearls to the center.

I cut the oval and scallop oval out using spellbinders dies. I inked the edges with the light blue ink as well. The pearls on the scallop edge are from Recollections.

The paper comes from Basic Grey's Fiction 6x6 paper pad.

I finished by adding a ribbon accent to the side. The ribbon is from Celebrate 360.

Peachy Keen Photo Inspiration Challenge

TGIF!!! I hope you are ready for another great PKS challenge. This week we have a fun photo inspiration challenge. I love combination of blues and greens. Two of my favorite colors!

Happy Friday, Peachy Gals!! Have you all had a great week? I sure hope so!! It's been so/so here. Hotter than a two dollar pistol and so muggy it feels like you can cut the air with a knife. UGH! Good inside crafting weather, I guess, and I've been trying to do just that, but most of it has been getting ready for leading crafts for our VBS which starts on Sunday. I'm really not ready yet, SO right after I get this posted it's back to VBS crafts!! Here's what the coming week has in store for us...

Posting to the PKS Blog this week are:
Monday - Glorajean
Tuesday - Brianna Loffelbein
Wednesday - Sandra Rosario
Friday - Emily Kluender

Friday, July 26th - PKC 13-30 :: Photo Inspiration
DT MEMBERS: Cassandra, Tanya, Vivienne, Emily
DT samples due : 7/24
Challenge: 7/26

I've attached the photo, for easy reference in case anyone wants to play along.

FYI - Some of you may have looked ahead at our calendar and noticed that there is a cross promotion that has been added to the schedule for August 28th. This will be a product swap/cross promo with Flower Soft. We currently have 7 designers on the Flower Soft team, so we will be able to accept 7 designers from the PKS team for this event. It will be a 1 Day Blog Hop and complete details will be posted soon. For now, I need seven volunteers from our PKS team to email me (lorie@peachykeenstamps.com) and let me know you would like to participate. It will be on a first come, first serve basis, so if you're interested, please let me know as soon as you can so that you can select your product and get it on it's way to you. Participants in this cross promotion will be receiving two pots (their choice) of Flower Soft product to use on their projects as well as a bottle of Flower Soft Glue. This stuff goes a LOOONG way, and you'll have enough to use for many, many projects.

You will also note that two events have been added to the calendar for October and December. These are scheduled Blog Hops with KaDoodle Bug Designs. We were contacted by them last week about another event similar to our last one, and we decided that rather than have one HUGE event we would divide it up into two smaller ones. One Fall/Halloween, and one Holiday/Christmas. We will again be swapping product for these events, and designers who join will receive $15 in downloads from either KaDoodle Bug Designs, or Too Cute By Jessica. We don't make it mandatory for you to participate in these events, however, if each person from our team would sign up for either one of these dates or the other, that would give us a good showing and offer a variety of designs for a successful event. If you don't have the capability to cut SVG files electronically, Melissa offers great directions on printing and hand cutting her designs, much like we paper piece our stamps. These events give us great exposure for ways to use our face stamps, and a whole new market for those adorable little faces that Kathy keeps presenting us with.

I'll give you some time before I ask for sign ups for the KBD events as they are a way off yet, and I'd like to get our ducks in a row for the FS event first. I'll let ya know when we're ready for volunteers for the October Hop.

Thanks so much, ladies! You ALL are just amazing, and we are so, so grateful for everything you do for us!! Have a great weekend, and don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or need anything at all.

♥ Ya!
~Lorie

So trying to keep in mind with Christmas in July, here is my project:

I created this adorable little gift bag using a cut file from SVG Cutting Files called

Fish Handled Bag Container.

The two adorable penguins were stamped and paper pieced from PKSC-19 July 2013. After I stamped and paper pieced their accessories I ran them through my Cuttlebug using the Charlie embossing folder. I added white gel pen accents and chalked their cheeks.

The sentiment comes from PKSC-11 November 2012.

The snow flakes were stamped from PK-019 What's So Funny Snowman. I stamped them with Versamark embossing ink and used a sparkly embossing powder on it, however, I couldn't get a good enough photo to show it.

For the snow, I inked the edges with light blue Color Box Ink. Then I put glossy accents and clear glitter on top.

That is my project for the color inspiration challenge! So looking forward to seeing what you all come up with!! Please don't forget to stop by the Peachy Keen Stamp Blog to see what the other DT members have created and don't forget to leave some love!! They all are amazing!!

The lollipop die, sentiment die, and the tiny heart all come from my from My Creative Time.

This release is so yummy and I decided to make another treat project!! Who wouldn't with these amazing stamps?

The adorable gingerbread house, gum drops, and trees all come from other add on sets. Kathy is really giving you an amazing variety of stamps!!

I colored the gingerbread house with Copic markers and use snow-tex for the snow textured look. I added two different kinds of glitter to the snow and candy images.

The treat box is a cut file from SVG Cutting Files.

The die cut the gum drops are on are from My Creative Time.

This adorable little cupcake is another add on set. So cute, right?! I love it!! I colored the base and the frosting in with Copic Markers. I paper pieced the yellow cake part. I then shaded it with a Copic Marker.

Happy Fourth Of July:God Bless America Card

Happy Fourth of July!!! Hopefully you are getting to spend the day off with family and friends. Maybe getting to see some fireworks as well!! I'm just glad my little family is together on this holiday. With deployments, we've missed a lot of holidays together.

So anyway, today, I have a card to share with you! I created it in lieu of the fourth of July!!

I created the adorable little boy from KaDoodle Bug Designs: Little Patriots!! How cute are they?!

I paper pieced him together and used Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap to ink on the sides. I added embossed stars to his shoes/flag and white gel pen accents.

The card base was cut using Cricut's Elegant Edges and the label was cut using Cricut's Art Philosophy.

I stamped the sentiment from Peachy Keen Promotional stamp using embossing ink and then used Snow white embossing powder over it. I then glued a piece of vellum on top. I took my picture before the glue was all dried on the vellum, so that is why it is darker on some part.

The little sequins were from the Dollar Tree and the twine is from American Crafts.

That my pretty simple 4th of July card! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!!

P.S. I have a couple of sales to let you know about!! They are great deals too!!

Congratulations: Baby Cards

Hi!! Today, I have a couple of pretty simple baby cards to share!! I created them for a couple of friends who are due to have babies soon.

The baby bottle shaped cards were so easy to make with the Too Cute By Jessica: Baby Gift set cut files. This set also had a cute little baby shoe as well!!

Once I cut the bottle pieces out, I then inked the sides with coordinating inks. I also added white gel faux stitching.

These adorable babies with accessories come from Peachy Keen Stamps: PK-208 Hey Baby set.

I stamped and paper pieced her and all the accessories. I outlined her hair with a Copic Maker and chalked her cheeks.

I created him just like her except I put his face lower due to his hat.

I added recollection pearls to each of their onesie.

The sentiment comes from Peachy Keen's PKSC-17 May 2013. It is stamped on a die cut label from My Creative Time.

The heart die cut is also from My Creative Time and the ribbon is from JoAnn's.

The white card stock I embossed with the Cuttlebug's Welcome Baby (boy) and  Cross my Heart (girl) folders.

Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!!
