My Creative Time: Made In Minutes

Hi, it's Made in Minutes over on the My Creative Time blog.
So for today, I have revamped a little notebook.

I got this little memo book from Wal-mart for .27 cents in the school supplies area. I thought it would make a great project for made in minutes that could be easily recreated. Plus, who doesn't like a project that is cheap and uses those scraps that just lay around the scrap room?

So I first want to show you in pictures what I did.

I first started out by cutting the red rectangle from MCT: Love To Learn Dies + Stamps Set. I then matted it with black card stock.

Next, I cut out the "you" and "are" from MCT:  Speech Bubble Sentiments Stamp Set. Then below it I stamp on the sentiment "Write On!" from MCT: Write On Stamp Set.

I then added a MCT: Stitched Tab to the top that I shortened up a bit to make it fit better.

I also used the MCT: Love to Learn Dies + Stamps to create the pencil. I added the cute Peachy Keen Bombshell Face, chalked the cheeks, and added white gel pen accents. I used MCT: You are Fabulous Stamp set for the pencil line.

To finish the project, I added a small little star from MCT: 3 Star Stitched Dies.

Well that's my project!! Thank you so much for stopping by!! Please head on over to the My Creative Time Blog to see the rest of the design team's amazing creations!!

Peachy Keen Stamps: September Release Blog Hop

The excitement has been building for the past two days and now the time has FINALLY arrived!
WELCOME to the September Release and Reveal Blog Hop at Peachy Keen Stamps!
You should have arrived here from Gigi McKellips's blog, if you’re hopping along in the set order, but if you just happened upon this post then you can go back to the beginning at The Peachy Keen Stamps Blog and start from there so you don’t miss any wonderful project.

This All Occasion release brings wonderful images for projects centered around a birthday theme, as well as some great stamps that pair up perfectly with stamps that have been released previously this year. I can see the Birch Background stamp used with our camping themed release, a rustic Christmas project, Halloween, masculine “guy” cards and so, so much more! Smile Eagle goes amazingly well with the Birch Background, too, and can’t us just see that little fella used for some AWESOME patriotic projects? There’s the Haunted A2 Background, which comes just in time to make some quick and easy Halloween projects, OR pair it up with last month’s release or ANY of our Halloween themed stamps for more versatility. The PKSC-33 Stamp of the Month, Ballerina Bear, and the Sentiments for the September 2014 Release are fabulous “go to” sets for any age! And last but certainly not least are the Variety Face Assortments. It wouldn’t be a PKS release without faces, and these are some of the cutest and most versatile yet! Turn a simple project into something SUPER SPECTACULAR just by adding an adorable Peachy Keen Face! These are must haves, for sure!!

I created a layout using the new heart balloons from PKS-33 September SOTM Kit and PK-1426 Ballet Bear.

How adorable are these cute little ballerina bears?!! I thought they would go perfectly with this layout of my daughter on the day she was born! She had danced her way into our hearts the moment we found out we were expecting her!

I paper pieced each one using two shades of pink, one cream, and one white card stock. I added Stickles to their tutus and their hats. I colored their eyes in with Copic markers and chalked their cheeks.

I stamped and paper pieced the balloons as well. I added sewing string to the balloons and tied them to each bear.

I used My Creative Time's Trio Stitched Banner Dies to added the fun sentiment from the Ballet Bear set to each picture. I used a die from Jaded Blossom to add the sentiment to her birth info. I just covered up the info for the picture so it wasn't shared for the whole world to see.

For the title I used My Creative Time's Uppercase and Lowercase Fun Dies. I dotted the "I" with the little star from the wand.

I embellished the layout with My Creative Time's Stitched Banner dies, Stitched Doily, and the little butterfly. I added Stickles to the butterfly and pearls.

So thankful that Kathy created these bears and sentiments to help me create this layout!

Now to share these amazing new stamps!!!

Peachy Keen Stamps: September Release: Sneak Peeks Day #2

Welcome back creative friends!
How about that first day of sneak peeks? Pretty amazing, right? Well we have more!!
Welcome to Day #2 of sneak peeks for the PKS September 2014 Release!
Tonight our talented team members are sharing some outstanding creations using four new stamp sets that were originally designed and created to go with various other stamp sets or themes that have been previously released. Each month as Kathy begins her creative process, she takes sketches and ideas from a specific theme and runs with it. There's no way she could possibly include each and EVERY sketch or idea in every release, but some of them are just too darned cute NOT to make the cut at some point. This is where this release comes in. This evening you will see creations using the Haunted A2 Background, Birch Frame Background, Ballet Bears, and Smile Eagle.
The peachy team has managed to blow us away once again with their amazing work!

Here my project using the amazing little eagle that Kathy created!

With the new college football season underway, I thought of making a card for my favorite team, the Iowa Hawkeyes! I love the Hawks and the Big Ten! So they were the inspiration for my project.

I was thinking a bit outside the box and decided to make the eagle into a hawk. He may not be exactly the mascot but he looks pretty close. I paper pieced him and accented him with Copic markers. For his chest I used Hawkeye paper. I then used a white gel pen on his chest and beak.

The football helmet shaped card is from SVG Cutting Files. Once I assembled it together, I used Snow White Colorbox Ink around the edges. I used My Creative Time's Bunch of Fun Circles and a whole punch to fill in the white circles with gold card stock.

I added the sentiment "Life Is Good" and the "Go Hawkeyes" to a cut out from Jaded Blossoms. For the "Go Hawkeyes" I used letters from other sentiments to create it. I finished the card by adding a bit of sequin bling to the sentiment die cut.

A fun yet simple card that will sit in my craft room to represent my favorite team!
Go Iowa Hawkeyes!!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Peachy Keen Stamps: September Sneak Peeks Day #1

Hello and WELCOME!

It's sneaky peeky time once again and we are so excited to have you join us tonight and tomorrow night for so...me cafty fun that will feature images for many special occasions!
Do you ever find yourself beginning to create a birthday card or project and just wish you had a simple "go to" stamp set that you could make great use of? One for any age, boy, girl, man, woman, friends, etc...? I think all of us have found ourselves in that place. In need of a set that we can quickly and easily create something fabulous with, or use those same images to add wonderful details to a more complex creation. Well, look no further, because that's just what we have for you!
Here's a little bit about where inspiration for this month's Stamp of the Month came from in Kathy's words...
Last month, I personally had several milestone birthdays to send cards out for. I found myself wishing I had a simple yet versatile birthday stamp set! I think if I would have had these stamps around I TOTALLY would have used them.
Happy and Healthy Hugs to All!
:)Kathy Jakopovich
Along with a super versatile birthday set, this month we have some great add on stamp sets
that will go just beautifully with previously released themes. Tonight we bring you designer creations using PKSC-33 Stamp of the Month set, PK-1428 Sentiments for September 2014, and PK-1429 and PK-1430, which are the newest faces to PKS. The Variety Face Assortment and Variety Faces 1 1/8 inch faces will allow you to add some new peachy cuteness to your creations.

Here is what I've created to share with you all today-

Right now I have a little bit of scrapbook supplies with me while I'm away from home and these Smash book pages are a simple yet fun way to scrap these special memories. When I saw Kathy's new images I just knew I wanted to create a fun page of my son's first birthday.

How adorable are these balloons? I just love them to pieces! Their cute little faces make them come to life. That little balloon blowing on the party blower makes me giggle! I cut each one out, inked the edges, and chalked their cheeks. I also added white gel pen accents. I used sewing string to tie bows and hang strings from each one.

I cut and matted each picture with red card stock. Then I added white gel pen stitching.

I cut each present out and inked the edges. I had to place the present tops a bit lower so they didn't cover up the pictures too much.

I added the title "It's your 1st BIRTHDAY!" to a cut out from My Creative Time's Stitched Vintage Label Die. I colored the "1st" in with Copic markers. Then I embellished it with Dollar Tree sequins.

Now I will always have a little Smash Book page embellished with the cutest images around to help remember my little guys special first birthday.

PRIZES :: PRIZES :: PRIZES!!!
We will be choosing one lucky winner from all the comments on the PKS Blog, AND Designer Blogs to receive all of the stamp sets being showcased this evening. That gives you one chance to win for each comment you leave! Good luck, and enjoy!!! ALL winners from sneak peeks and our Release and Reveal Blog Hop will be announced on Monday, September 6th.
Thanks for stopping by and we'll see you tomorrow! Same time... Same place!!!

My Creative Time: Tag it Tuesday

Hi, it's Tag It Tuesday over on the My Creative Time blog. Today, we have a photo/color challenge for our tags.

So here is what I came up based on the colors and photo.

I first started with MCT: Tag Die Layers and Tag dies for my base.

I then created the grass with MCT: Stitched Grass and part of a green tag.

The little watering can was cut from an svg from SVG Cutting Files. I added faux stitching to it with a white gel pen. I also wanted to create the look of the one watering can in the picture that had painted flowers on it. So I added a little flower from MCT: Way To Go Stamp Set.

I added the cute little flowers to the watering can from MCT: Pretty Stitched Flowers and Leaves. I added faces to each one from Peachy Keen Stamps: Kawaii Face Assortments. I then covered each one with glossy accents. I added little water droplets coming down from the watering can with my glossy accents.

For the sentiment I first cut out a speech bubble from MCT: Speech Bubble Sentiments Stamp Set. I stamped on the sentiment from MCT: What's Growing On? Stamp Set.

I added the cute little butterfly from MCT: Pretty Butterflies and Dragonfly Dies. I added some bling to jazz the butterfly up a bit.

I added ribbon along with twine at the top of the tag. Then I added some yellow twine to the watering can.

For more amazing inspiration please head on over to Miss Emma's blog!!

Have a wonderful day!! Happy Creating!!

For the camera, I combined the "new" Camera layer die with MCT: Stitched Camera Die, and the circles/heart from MCT: Picture Perfect. I added glossy accents to the lens part.

I added the "oh snap" and "picture perfect" to the stitched "capture" frame from MCT: Picture Perfect.

I added the small star from MCT: 3 star Stitched Dies to the corner of the frame.

The little rik rak line is from the new MCT: Tag Die Layers.

Peachy Keen Stamps: Trendspotting

If you are looking for the My Creative Time Day #4 Sneak Peeks please click here.

Hi, I am sharing a trendsetting project.

I am a bit late to the Smash Book trend but it's never too late to start. So I created my very first entry into my book. It's of my son's first day of 2nd grade.

I cut the cute little boy from Too Cute By Jessica's: School is Cool. For his face, I used PKS: 1410 Christmas In July Face Assortment. Before I added the face, I used a baby wipe to take the ink off of the eyelashes on the stamp to create more of a boy look. I colored the eyes in with a Copic  marker and chalk his cheeks. After I had pieced him all together I added white gel pen accents to his hat, hair, body, and backpack.

I added the cute little face to the apple using PKS-1403 Popcorn People. The apple and pencil were cut from My Creative Time's Love to Learn Dies. The title was cut from My Creative Time's Uppercase Fun dies, Lowercase Fun dies, and Number Fun dies plus add ons. I added white gel pen accents to every one as well.

I am so glad that I took the plunge and created my first Smash book page. A simple and fun way to scrap those special memories!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful crafty day!

P.S.

We would love for you to join us in our August PKS Linky Party as well as our PKS 14-Challenge.
