MCT: Throwback Thursday "Do Over"

Hi, today is Throwback Thursday over on the My Creative Time Blog. We are choosing a project to "Do Over". Now that Emma has created a cute kitty I just knew I wanted to create a similar card as my doggy in the window but of course with the kitty. I also wanted to create more of a spring house scene on the card this time. I'm so ready for spring!!!

I first cut out the base of the card using Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies and then scored it every half of inch. This gives it the look of siding on a house.

I cut out the window, flower outline, and flower box out using Stitched Window Dies & Accessories. I stamped on the flowers using Window Sentiments and Flowers stamp set. I colored the leaves and flowers in with Copic markers. I then stamped on the sentiment from You Had Me At Meow stamp set onto the flower box using Versarmark ink and Recollection's Snow Embossing Powder.

'

I added the white picket fence using the dies from Loyal Friends stamp set. Then I tied American Crafts twine on it. I added a little Teresa Collins heart enamel dot to the bow. Then I added two strips of Stitched Grass.

I used the You Had Me At Meow to stamp the little kitty onto gray Recollection's card stock and then cut it out with the dies from the same set. When I was stamping the kitty, I masked the eyes and stamped on the face from Peachy Keen Stamps: Variety Face Assortment. I colored the eyes in with Copic markers. Then I took a dark gray Copic marker and created the stripes on the kitty. I chalked the cheeks and then added a few white gel pen accents to the whiskers. The kitty doesn't fit as well as the doggy in the window but that's okay. It looks just as cute sitting in the flower box just outside the window.

Here is my original card! I still like it very much but I also like my card with the kitty as well! I love them both  in their own unique ways.

MCT: 40th Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the My Creative Time 40th Edition Release Blog Hop!

If you have made it here from Cindy's blog then you are in the right place. If you have just stopped by or have gotten lost along the way please head on over to Emma's Blog for the full hop order.

Today I am showcasing the new super cute "Milk Carton Die & Mini Chalkboard Tags". They coordinate perfectly together!!

I first cut out the cute little mini Milk Carton in Cow Print paper. Then I stamped and paper pieced the adorable little kitty cat with the same paper from the new "You Had Me At Meow". Since Emma hasn't created a cow, I thought that a kitty was the next best thing!! I may or may not be obsessed with these adorable kitties!! lol! I just had to use it again on my milk carton! I love them!! Then I colored her ears, eyes, and collar in with Copic markers. Since part of the whiskers and mouth were hard to see on the black spot, I carefully went over them with a White Gelly Roll Pen. I added glossy accents to her eyes and accessories. I then chalked her cheeks with Inkadinkado chalk ink.

I adhered her onto a mini rosette I created using the Scallop Stitched Rosette dies. I then cut out a 1 inch strip of the same pattern paper and glued it all the way around the center of the milk carton.

I stamped the sentiment onto the tag and banner from the new "Mini Chalkboard Tags". To get the chalkboard look, I just first stamped the tag and sentiment on with Hero Arts Unicorn ink and then use clear embossing powder on top. Then I added a little red floss bow at the top and adhered it to the milk carton using a mini Recolleciton's clothes pin.

Once I had it all together then I filled it with Milk Duds or as my sons likes to call them "Cow Patties". Now I have a super cute cow themed treat to give away! Though I think I have some little cuties at home that may call dibs!

MCT: 40th Release: Sneak Peeks Day #4

Hi and welcome back to the 4th and final day of sneak peeks for the fabulous My Creative Time's 40th Edition Release!!

Today we are show casing the new "Milk Carton Die" & "Mini Chalkboard Tags". These little mini milk cartons are so cute!! So many possibilities!! The chalkboard tag coordinate perfectly with them!! So glad Miss Emma has created these great new products!! This whole release has been so amazing!!

I first cut out the adorable little milk carton using the new die using my Cuttlebug. They are so easy to assemble once you have folded all the score lines. I recommend running it through your machine a few times to make sure the score lines are indented really well.

I then created a small rosette using my glue gun and the Scallop Stitched Rosette dies. I stamped and paper pieced a cute little kitty from the new "You Had Me At Moew" stamp set. His fabulous accessories are also from this set. How fun are those glasses and bowtie? I colored his eyes, ears, and mouth in with Copic markers. I chalk his cheeks with Inkadinkado chalk ink. Then I glued the paper pieced kitty onto the die cut outline. I adhered him to the rosette using my glue gun.

I had stamped on the "You're" also from "You Had Me At Moew" onto the top of the milk carton before I even put it together. I then stamped the "purrr-fect" onto a die cut banner from the new "Mini Chalkboard Tags". I love these banners!

All I had was black mini clothes pens and I didn't think they would go well. So I got out some red acrylic paint I had and painted it to match my color scheme. So much easier than running to the store and spending more money!

The milk cartons are so easy and fun to work with! Love how it doesn't take too much time at all to put one together! Then you can fill it with a treat you chose and it will make a great little gift to brighten someone day!

MCT: 40th Release: Sneak Peeks Day #3

Hi and welcome back for day 3 of sneak peeks for the fabulous My Creative Time's 40th Edition Release!!

Today we are show casing the fun new "Hello Frame Dies". They coordinate perfectly with the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die.

I first cut out a base mat using the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die. Then I cut out chevrons in rainbow colors using the Tag Die Layers. I then meticulously glued each one onto my base mat. After I had the whole base covered, I took scissors and cut off the edges that were overlapping. Then I glued the "Hello" frame on top.

I cut my card base and mat layer out using Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies. Then I added a some sequins that I had from my stash.

MCT: 40th Release: Sneak Peeks Day #2

Hi and welcome back for day 2 of sneak peeks for the fabulous My Creative Time's 40th Edition Release!!

Today we are show casing the super cute "You Had Me At Meow". If you loved the chickies you are going to love these cute patootie kitty cats just as much!

I stamped and paper pieced each adorable little kitty. I then glued it onto an outline I cut out using the new dies with this stamp set. I used Copic markers to color their ears, noses,  and mouths. I stamped and paper pieced their cute little bows as well! I cut out the collar and glasses using some of the dies that are included in the new You Had Me At Meow set.

I stamped the sentiment onto the Stitched Oval die cut. I thought the oval look like a little cat bed and would be purrrfect for the little kitties to sit on.

I used the Stitched Lollipop Holder along with the Stitched Circle and Scallop dies to hold the fabulous Gourmet Lollipops. I just love these and they work perfectly with Emma's lollipop die. I tied the holder with Recollection's Twine.

MCT: 40th Release: Sneak Peek Day #1

I'm so excited!! It's day 1 of sneak peeks for the fabulous My Creative Time's 40th Edition Release!!  This release makes me so ready for warmer weather and spring!!

Today we are show casing, the oh so adorable "To a Cute Chickie" Stamp Set & the beautiful "Wishing You" stamp!

I love these adorable little chickies!! I first stamped them on top of each other by masking the legs. I then carefully did selective cutting with the dies to cut them out as a whole. I colored them in with Copic markers. I also added Glossy Accents to their eyes and white gel pen accents to their wings.

For the background, I first cut out a 3x4 journal card using MCT: Stitched Journal Die. Then I stamped on the clouds using MCT: Cartoon Cloud Background Stamp. I finished the journal card by adding two rows of grass that were cut out using MCT: Stitched Grass Die.

I cut the Paper Studio: Polka Dotted pattern paper out using MCT: Stitched Rectangular Dies. I matted it with some light blue Recollection's card stock. I added a pink bow from my stash.

I stamped the adorable sentiment from the new "To Cute Chickie" onto a speech bubble cut out using MCT: Stitched Round Speech Bubbles.

For this card, I used MCT: Bunch of Fun Circle dies to create the base of my card! I then layered the base with a pretty MCT: Stitched Doily die cut. I stamped the beautiful sentiment from the new "MCT: Wishing You" onto a large pink circle also cut from the Bunch of Fun Circle dies.

I created the elegant flowers by combing the two flower dies from MCT: Rolled Flower dies together. I inked the edges with purple Colorbox ink and then added some sparkly Stickles to the edges of the petals.

I cut the leaves from MCT: Stitched Leaves dies. I inked the sides with Stampin' Up Old Olive ink. I also added a little bit of Stickles to the edges of the leaves as well!

I stamped and paper pieced the cute little chickie from the new MCT: To a Cute Chickie. I colored the beak and outlined him with Copic markers. I added sparkly Stickles to his body and Glossy Accents to his body.

My Creative Time: Tag It Tuesday

Hi, today is Tag It Tuesday over on the My Creative Time Blog.

I just happen to come across this video from Stampin' Gals Gone Wild and she made the cutest little Hershey Kiss flowers for Easter. I thought how fun they would be for Valentine's day to create something similar using Emma's dies and stamps.

For my flowers, I first cut out two flower die cuts in each color using MCT: Rolled Flower Dies. I inked the edges with coordinating Memento inks. I rolled my flowers first with the end of a paint brush. Then I unraveled them a bit. I loosely but the first flower together with a glue gun so their was enough room for the kiss to sit in the middle. Then I added the second flower layer to create a larger bloom. I then used the end of my paint brush to curl the ends of the flowers down. Since I didn't have a low temp glue gun, I glued the kisses in with Glossy Accents.

Once I had the base of the flower created, I added two flowers on the bottom cut from MCT: Flower Petal dies and MCT: Stitched Pretty Flowers. Then I added two leaves from  MCT: Stitched Leaves. I covered them up with another smaller flower from MCT: Stitched Pretty Flowers.

I stamped the sentiments from MCT: Teeny Tag Greetings and Teeny Tag Holidays onto the MCT: Teeny Tags Layering dies. I just love these little tags! I then added them to the flowers by tying them with American Crafts Twine around the base of the flower.

A fun little treat for the upcoming Valentine's day! So easy and fun to make!!
Thank you so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a wonderful day!!

My Creative Time: Oh Happy Day!

Hi, we have a new Designer Challenge over on the My Creative Time Blog. We are basing our projects on this picture. You can create a project based on the picture, colors, sketch, or any combination of the three. I loved the robot and color scheme from the picture so I used them to inspire my card.

For the base of the card, I used MCT: 4x4 Journal Die and More to cut out the gray and yellow circle pattern paper. Then I matted it with gray polka dot paper and orange card stock.

I then added the frame gray polka dot layer that was cut out using MCT: Just Live Simply Stamp Set.

I stamped and cut out the cute little robot from MCT: Best Bots Forever Stamp Set. I then colored him in with Copic markers and added white gel pen accents to his shoes. I added the little balloon he is holding from the same set. I created the little curly-q by cutting the little phone cord from the Best Bots Forever set as well. Then I adhered him and his balloon onto the frame.

I stamped the sentiment from MCT: Fun Gift Pocket Sentiments on to a speech bubble from MCT: Fun Speech Bubbles Stamp set. These fun speech bubbles stamps and dies are currently the February Stamp/Die set of the month. If this set of dies have been on your wish list, you can pick this set up here at a discount price: http://shop.my-creative-time.com/Fun-Speech-Bubbles-Stamp-Set-MCT-171.htm
This set will be on sale for the entire month of February! The sale will end on February 28, 2015 @ 12:00am PST!

I finished the card by adding some American Crafts Orange Twine and a Recollection's Orange enamel dot.

All the papers used are from Michael's Recollection's Line.

My Creative Time: Oh Snap!

Hi! Today we are featuring another "My FAVORITE stamp OR die of the Month!"  This month we are featuring the "Fun Speech Bubbles Stamp Set".

So here is what I've created featuring the wonderful "Fun Speech Bubbles Stamp Set" along with some other fabulous MCT products.

When I decided to use the "oh snap" sentiment from the Speech bubble set, I realized I didn't have any fun camera papers. So using the MCT: Stitched Camera DieCamera Bottom Layer Die, and Picture Perfect Stamp Set I created my own.

The cute little girl taking the picture is an svg file from here. I added a Peachy Keen: Christmas in July face and chalked her cheeks. I used the bicycle die from MCT: Way To Go Stamp Set to create her belt and hair tie. I also used a flower from the same set to embellish her belt. I finished her look by adding white gel pen accents to her hair, clothes, and camera.

I stamped the "oh snap" onto the stitched speech bubble from MCT: Fun Speech Bubbles Stamp Set and then colored it in with a Copic marker.

For the base of the card I used MCT: Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies. I finished the card by adding some American Crafts yellow twine.

Products used:
MME: Pattern Paper
Pebbles: Basics Paper Pad
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Memento Dandelion Yellow Ink
Memento Bahama Blue Ink
White Gel Pen
SVG Cutting Files: Chibi Camera Kids
Recollection's Card Stock
American Crafts Twine
