My Creative Time: Favorite Stamp of the Month: Carved Heart

Hi, today is Emma's Favorite Stamp of the Month over on the My Creative Time Blog.

Today we are featuring another "My Favorite Stamp/Die of the Month!" This month we are featuring one of my FAVE sets...."Carved Heart!" If this set has been on YOUR wish list, you can pick this set up HERE for a discount price! :) This set will be on sale for the entire month of June & will end on June 30th, 2016 @ 12am PST!

I wanted to create a card for my mom who recently had to have surgery to let her know just how much she means to me and how strong she has been through all of this! This carved heart worked out perfectly for the type of message I wanted to send.

I first stamped the Carved Heart onto Kraft card stock using Versamark ink. Then I sprinkled some glittery embossing powder on top and heated it with my heat gun. I then cut it out with the coordinating die from the set. I wanted the heart to stand out, so I used a Copic marker to color the outside layer.

I then cut out my card base, red card stock mat, and the background layer for the heart using the Stitched Square Dies. I then stamped the Grainy Wood Background onto the Kraft card stock square cut out using the same technique as the heart. I really love how it shows the stamped image with a bit of sparkle.

Once I got all of that put together, I cut out the Sentiment Label as well as the Vintage Label and layered them together. I then stamped on the "mom" sentiment from the You Are A Blessing Stamp Set. I accented the sentiment with two little hearts also from the Carved Heart Stamp Set. I wanted them to have a bit of sparkle as well, so I added clear Wink of Stella to them. I then finished the front of the card by adding some white pearl mini sequins.

I then cut out another square in white card stock to add inside of the card and then stamped the sentiment, again from the You Are A Blessing Stamp Set. I happy to say she loved it! This may have not been much but it put a big smile on her face with a few happy tears! A little handmade love can go along way!!

My Creative Time: 56th Edition Release: Blog Hop

If you have made it here from Brigit's blog, then you are in the right place! If you have just stopped by or have gotten lost along the way, please head on over to Emma's blog, for the full hop order!

Today I will be showcasing the fun new Just A Note Stamp Set. I'm so thankful that Miss Emma has created this wonderful set!! So many possibilities with this die!

When I saw this sentiment from the new set, I automatically thought of creating a little cork board with a post-it note on it. I first cut out the fun little note card in kraft card stock using the fun new die from the Just A Note Stamp Set. I cut the cork paper out using the Stitched Square Dies.  I wanted to use the post-it note die from the Be Awesome Stamp Set but it covered too much of the cork paper for my liking. So I just cut the next smallest Stitched Square out in light yellow card stock and it worked perfectly!

I stamped the sentiment from the new Just A Note Stamp Set onto the yellow post-it note. I then accented the post-it note with a little push pin die cut from the Be Awesome Stamp Set. I used clear Wink of Stella on the top of the pin and silver Wink of Stella on the bottom. I then added a couple of white pearlized sequins for some pizzaz.

I love Ghirardelli milk chocolate caramel squares and thankfully had some on hand. I was delighted to find that they fit nicely with this new die. I didn't want the sides protruding out, so I just taped them before adding it to the die cut. A cute and sweet treat to make someone's day!

My Creative Time: 56th Edition Release: Sneak Peeks Day 4

Hi and welcome to the fourth and final day of sneak peeks for the My Creative Time: 56th Edition Release. Today we are sneaking the wonderful new Just A Note Stamp Set!! You are going to love these new sentiments and dies!! There are so many great ideas for this new die!!

I decided to make the die into a lollipop holder. You could decorate the front for holidays, birthdays, or for whatever you want! I first cut out the new note card die from Just A Note Stamp Set in kraft card stock. I then cut out a Stitched Square in light blue card stock. It fits nicely on the note card die.

I then stamped on the sentiment, also from the Just A Note Stamp Set, using Versamark ink and Recollections: Black embossing powder. I accented it with several little confetti that were cut out using dies from the Make A Wish Stamp Set. I added clear Wink of Stella to the confetti to give them a bit of sparkle.

I discovered that this new die works perfectly with a flat lollipop. I didn't like how the bottom looked with the lollipop, so I cut it down with the straight-edged die from the More Stitched Edges Dies. I like how it has stitching on the bottom that coordinates with the front of the note card die cut. I finished it by adding some twine to the lollipop stick.

My Creative Time: 56th Edition Release: Sneak Peeks Day 3

Hi and welcome to day 3 of sneak peeks for the My Creative Time: 56th Edition Release! Today we are sneaking the fabulous new Sentiment Label Dies. I love these new dies!! I was so excited that one of the new sentiment labels layers so nicely with the original Vintage Stitched Label Die!! There are four different sizes and the possibilities are endless with these new dies! I decided to create a fun wedding day card using them!

I first created the fun heart background paper using the More Stitched Rectangular Dies along with the Stitched Heart Background Die. I then layered it with a piece of light blue card stock that was cut out using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies.

Next, I layered the new Sentiment Label Dies along with the Vintage Stitched Label Dies. I then added the cute Stitched Belly Band Dies heart to the layered labels.

I stamped the sentiment onto the heart from the Wishing Both The Best Stamp Set. I then stamped and cut out the fun little flowers with the coordinating die. They to are from the 'Wishing You The Best' stamp set.  I colored the flowers with Copic markers, added Glossy Accents, and then sprinkled some fine glitter on top of them. I then cut them to fit onto the heart.

To finish the card, I added the rest of the finished pieces to the card base and then accented it with some pretty sequins.

My Creative Time: 56th Edition Release: Sneak Peeks Day 1

Hi and welcome to day 1 of sneak peeks for the My Creative Time: 56th Edition Release!! Today we are sneaking the fabulous "Spot On Stamp Set". I love that this set has both circle stamps and circle dies!! Plus, it has some wonderful coordinating sentiments!! I decided to create a card using both and I really love how it turned out!

I first cut out the color splash paper with the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die. I then used the new circle dies to cut out a circle pattern on another piece of card stock. Then I taped that piece of paper on the color splash paper and lightly traced the circles with a pencil. Then I stamped on the circles and erased any visible pencil marks.

I then took the negatives I had left over from creating my circle stencil page and glued them in the stamped circles. I changed my mind on the sentiment I was going to use, so I cut out the sentiment using the Bunch Of Fun Circle Die. I cut out another circle and glued it on the back. Then I stamped the new sentiment in the circle from the Spot On Stamp Set. I accented the sentiment with two little hearts that were cut out using a die from the You Are My Sunshine Stamp Set.

I finished the card by accenting it with some clear pearlized mini sequins from my stash.

My Creative Time: Made In Minutes

Hi, today is Made In Minutes over on the My Creative Time Blog. I created a simple "get well" card! It was very fast to create and I used mostly scraps I had! Always nice to use any scraps up and clear the bin! Though who am I kidding, that might take a while! :)

I first cut out the circles for the rainbow using scrap papers along with the More Stitched Circle Dies.   I then set those aside to create my background mat with the Stitched Square Dies Inside and Out. I then layered it with a piece red card stock and then added it to my card base.

I cut the circles in half and then added them to the card. I cut out the cut little clouds and sun from the  You Are My Sunshine Stamp Set. I then added a cute Peachy Keen face to the sun. I accented the face with white gel pen and chalk ink. I then added them to the little rainbow.

I finished the card by adding the sentiment from the Card Sentiments for the 3x3 Trifold die. Then I embellished the card with some fun sequins. Simple but yet, hopefully brightens a special person's day!

Products Used:

Versamark Ink
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Recollection's Card Stock
Inkadinkado Chalk Ink

This sale is for 48 hours ONLY that is going on right NOW & will end on Sunday, June 5, 2016 @ 7am PST.  For this sale, we are all featuring a brand new die set called "Stitched Large Balloon Dies".  When I released my "Circle Balloon Dies" last month, I had gotten LOTS of requests for a large traditional shaped balloon die as well!  So....here ya go my friends! :) This is SUCH A FUN set & I cannot wait for you to see all the projects the team has created using it! I decided to create a simple shaker card using these fun new Stitched Larger Balloon Dies. I first cut out 3 of the largest balloons in blue card stock, hot pink card stock, and acetate paper. I then used the largest oval from the Scalloped Stitched Oval Dies to cut a window in the hot pink balloon die cut. Then I cut the card base out by folding a piece of white card stock and then cutting it once again with the largest balloon die.

I first stamped on the "happy birthday" sentiment from the Script Words Stamps onto the blue balloon die cut before I created the shaker. I glued the acetate paper onto the pink window piece. Then I added the fun balloon birthday confetti to the center of the blue balloon die cut and then glued the pink acetate balloon window on top of it.

Once it had dried, I tied the matching pink twine onto the balloon and embellished the bow with another little blue confetti circle. Then I attached the shaker onto the card base that I had cut out earlier. A simple and easy shaker card to celebrate someone special!
