Happy Monday Peachy friends!! I'm excited to share with you a couple of projects I made with the new Peachy Keen February 2013 Stamp of the Month Set. They are so cute and such a blast to work with!!!
Isn't that robot just darling? I think so!!!
All of the images and sentiment are from the February SOTM except for the robot's cutie pie face (add on set: Great Vibes Robots). For the stars I stamped and paper pieced them on yellow card-stock and added white gel pen accents. For the middle star, I added Glossy Accents to the eyes. The mini-rocket was stamped and paper piece onto papers from DCVW's Guy Stack and yellow card-stock I added the flames from coloring white card-stock with Copic markers. I finished the rocket by adding white gel pen accents, outlining the main body with a Copic marker, and putting Glossy accents on the window. The robot was also paper pieced on paper from DCVW's Guy stack and outlined with a Copic marker. I added Glossy Accents to his eyes and the little circle at the bottom of the springs. I used Spellbinder's dies to cut the star circle and regular circles out. The photo corners were cut using an EK Success punch and Recollection's Wood Grain paper. The twine used for the balloons and background came from Wal-mart.
For this card I decided to create a slider card using two buttons. The large star, rocket, moon ,and sentiment are all from the February SOTM. The smaller stars are cut from a background stamp called Star Galaxy and glittered with stickles. I covered the large star with Glossy accents. I used yellow and orange card-stock for the paper piecing and for the bulk of the card. I also used a piece of pattern paper from DCVW's Guy Stack. The embossing folder used is a Cuttlebug Christmas Stars folder onto dark blue Core Dinations/Tim Holtz Distress card-stock. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and the baker's twine from American crafts. The photo corners are from an EK Success Punch and the jewels are from Recollections.
Details on how to make the slider for the rocket coming soon!!! I apologize, hubby took the camera that had my pictures to show how to make it. It is really simple and adds a fun element to any card.
