My Creative Time: Try Me Tuesday

Hi, today is Try Me Tuesday over at My Creative Time and today we are trying a box card technique. We had a wonderful video shared with us on how to make one. You can find it here.

So here is what I came up with-

Once I had the base all cut and scored, I stamped on the MCT: Stripey Background onto the navy blue card.

I first used the dies from MCT: Lost At Sea to create the port hole. Then I used a smaller circle from MCT: Bunch of Fun Circles to cut the circle hole into the base. I then filled in the circle with Recollection's brads.

I used MCT: Anchors and Heart for the chain and anchor. I cut a tiny slit in the chain to connect it to the anchor.

The sentiment is from MCT: Hey Sailor and it is stamped on a banner from MCT: Vintage Stitched Label Die.

For the inside of the box card, I used MCT: Make a Splash for the waves.

The little sailboat comes from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. It may be hard to see but for the blue sail, I used the chalk line from MCT: You are Fabulous to match the blue Stripey Background on the front of the card. I then added a heart from MCT: 4x4 Journal Die and More.

I finished the card by adding white gel pen dots to the boat and sequins to the front.

Thank you so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a wonderful day!! For more amazing design team inspiration please head on over to Miss Emma's Blog!
