Hi, today is Trending Now over on the My Creative Time Blog. The trend we are working with is watercoloring. This was my first time using watercolors for a card and I love the way the background turned out!!
The watercolor paper mat was cut out using the More Stitched Rectangular Dies. Three watercolors were used to create the background from a generic watercolor set that was purchased at Michaels. After the mat was dried, a white watercolor was speckled onto it. It was then matted with a black card stock that was cut out using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies.
A small white frame was cut using the More Stitched Rectangular Dies and then the sentiment was stamped onto it from the Dream Bigger Stamp Set. The frame was layered with some foam paper and matted with vellum paper. The mini butterfly die cuts were cut out of some left over watercoloring and layered onto the card. Then to finish off the card, a few white pearl sequins were added.
