Happy Rainy Day

If you have made it here from Miss Emma's blog, then you are in the right place. If you have just stopped by or have gotten lost along the way, please head on over to the My Creative Time blog for the full hop order.

The white card stock mat was cut out using the More Stitched Rectangular Dies. The red card stock mat was cut out using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies.  The stencil from the new Happy Rainy Day Kit,  was used to create the inked clouds and raindrops. The sentiment also from the new kit, was stamped on using embossing ink and embossing powder. The lady walking in the rain with her umbrella is a silhouette die from the new kit. The die was cut out in red card stock, white card stock, and aqua card stock. Copic markers were used to color the legs, arms, face, and umbrella handle on the white card stock die cut. The heels and dress were cut out of the red card stock die cut. Glossy Accents were added to the heels and the handle of the umbrella. A small piece of brown card stock was cut to create the look of hair on the die cut. The aqua die was cut down to just the umbrella part. A small red heart was cut out using another die from the new kit and glued onto the umbrella. The heart was also topped with Wink of Stella. The whole process was time consuming but worth it to give more character to the die cut. The strip of gray card stock was cut out using one of the Stitched Belly Band Dies.  A gray marker was used to create lines on the strip to resemble a sidewalk. The little puddle was stamped and inked from the Make A Splash Stamp Set.  Glossy Accents was also added to the puddle. The card was finished by adding a few sequins.
