Peachy Keen Photo Inspiration Challenge

TGIF!!! I hope you are ready for another great PKS challenge. This week we have a fun photo inspiration challenge. I love combination of blues and greens. Two of my favorite colors!

Happy Friday, Peachy Gals!! Have you all had a great week? I sure hope so!! It's been so/so here. Hotter than a two dollar pistol and so muggy it feels like you can cut the air with a knife. UGH! Good inside crafting weather, I guess, and I've been trying to do just that, but most of it has been getting ready for leading crafts for our VBS which starts on Sunday. I'm really not ready yet, SO right after I get this posted it's back to VBS crafts!! Here's what the coming week has in store for us...

Posting to the PKS Blog this week are:
Monday - Glorajean
Tuesday - Brianna Loffelbein
Wednesday - Sandra Rosario
Friday - Emily Kluender

Friday, July 26th - PKC 13-30 :: Photo Inspiration
DT MEMBERS: Cassandra, Tanya, Vivienne, Emily
DT samples due : 7/24
Challenge: 7/26

I've attached the photo, for easy reference in case anyone wants to play along.

FYI - Some of you may have looked ahead at our calendar and noticed that there is a cross promotion that has been added to the schedule for August 28th. This will be a product swap/cross promo with Flower Soft. We currently have 7 designers on the Flower Soft team, so we will be able to accept 7 designers from the PKS team for this event. It will be a 1 Day Blog Hop and complete details will be posted soon. For now, I need seven volunteers from our PKS team to email me (lorie@peachykeenstamps.com) and let me know you would like to participate. It will be on a first come, first serve basis, so if you're interested, please let me know as soon as you can so that you can select your product and get it on it's way to you. Participants in this cross promotion will be receiving two pots (their choice) of Flower Soft product to use on their projects as well as a bottle of Flower Soft Glue. This stuff goes a LOOONG way, and you'll have enough to use for many, many projects.

You will also note that two events have been added to the calendar for October and December. These are scheduled Blog Hops with KaDoodle Bug Designs. We were contacted by them last week about another event similar to our last one, and we decided that rather than have one HUGE event we would divide it up into two smaller ones. One Fall/Halloween, and one Holiday/Christmas. We will again be swapping product for these events, and designers who join will receive $15 in downloads from either KaDoodle Bug Designs, or Too Cute By Jessica. We don't make it mandatory for you to participate in these events, however, if each person from our team would sign up for either one of these dates or the other, that would give us a good showing and offer a variety of designs for a successful event. If you don't have the capability to cut SVG files electronically, Melissa offers great directions on printing and hand cutting her designs, much like we paper piece our stamps. These events give us great exposure for ways to use our face stamps, and a whole new market for those adorable little faces that Kathy keeps presenting us with.

I'll give you some time before I ask for sign ups for the KBD events as they are a way off yet, and I'd like to get our ducks in a row for the FS event first. I'll let ya know when we're ready for volunteers for the October Hop.

Thanks so much, ladies! You ALL are just amazing, and we are so, so grateful for everything you do for us!! Have a great weekend, and don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or need anything at all.

♥ Ya!
~Lorie

So trying to keep in mind with Christmas in July, here is my project:

I created this adorable little gift bag using a cut file from SVG Cutting Files called

Fish Handled Bag Container.

The two adorable penguins were stamped and paper pieced from PKSC-19 July 2013. After I stamped and paper pieced their accessories I ran them through my Cuttlebug using the Charlie embossing folder. I added white gel pen accents and chalked their cheeks.

The sentiment comes from PKSC-11 November 2012.

The snow flakes were stamped from PK-019 What's So Funny Snowman. I stamped them with Versamark embossing ink and used a sparkly embossing powder on it, however, I couldn't get a good enough photo to show it.

For the snow, I inked the edges with light blue Color Box Ink. Then I put glossy accents and clear glitter on top.

That is my project for the color inspiration challenge! So looking forward to seeing what you all come up with!! Please don't forget to stop by the Peachy Keen Stamp Blog to see what the other DT members have created and don't forget to leave some love!! They all are amazing!!

Happy Stamping and Creating!!
