Hi and welcome to the My Creative Time: 47th Edition: Blog Hop.
If you have made it here from Cindy's blog then you are in the right place. If you have just stopped by or have gotten lost along the way please head on over to Emma's Blog for the full hop order.
Today, I am showcasing the fabulous new Stitched Treat Sleeve Die along with the beautiful freebie for this release, Dec25. I just love both of these along with the whole release.
I first cut out 24 milk cartons using the Milk Carton Die in various pattern papers. They were a combinations of Paper Studio and Bazzil Card Stock. When making these for an advent calendar I would recommend using the thicker card stock. They hold up much better than the thinner pattern paper. I then wrapped each one with strips of paper I cut out using the new Stitched Belly Band Dies. I added onto the strips a pretty doily that was cut out using the Bunch of Stitched Doily Dies. I cut out the numbers using the Number Fun Dies + Add Ons Set in green foil paper and red glitter paper. I then added them onto the doilies.
I cut out 24 red and green card stock bows using the ever so cute Fun Size Scallop Stitched Bow Die. I added pretty gold glittery bells to each of the bows that I cut out using the Warm Holiday Fun Stamp Set. Once I had the milk cartons all finished I clipped them onto the frame using some mini wooden clothes pins.
I then created the special little box for Christmas day. I used the same red glittery paper to cut out my Milk Carton. It was a bit of a challenge to find an adhesive that would hold the milk carton together because of all the glitter. I had to use a combination of tape and Tombow Liquid glue. I wanted to make this one look somewhat like a Santa suit. So I cut the Stitched Belly Band out in black card stock. Then I cut another one out in white card stock and used the same die to cut it in half for the front of the suit. I then cut out the label layers for the belt buckle and added the pretty Dec25 Die Freebie cut out on top of them. I embellished it with a cute little star button that was cut using the Stitched Button Dies that I added to the white strip of the suit. I finished it by adding a gold Fun Size Scallop Stitched Bow to the top and then clipped it onto the frame.
I created a cute little Merry Christmas sign using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies, Stitched Belly Band Dies, and the Scallop Stitched Oval Dies. I added the cut out sentiments and holly from the new Holiday Tags Stamps and Dies.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For my second project, I used the fun new Stitched Treat Sleeve Die. I love this new die!! So grateful that Emma created it!! I can't wait to make a bunch of cookie treat bags with these and hopefully make someone day a little sweeter!
Once again I wanted to create this treat sleeve a little on the simpler side so that way it would be easier to be able to create a bunch of them. I also wanted to create a peek-a-boo window so that way you could see the yummy cookie. I really love how this turned out!!
I first cut out my lovely Stitched Treat Sleeve and then cut a oval window in it using the Scallop Stitched Oval Dies. I added a very thin piece of acetate paper on the bag of the window. Then I cut the Stitched Belly Band out of gold foil paper. I used the beautiful label layers also from the Stitched Belly Band Dies. I cut out the pretty die sentiment "joy" along with the holly from the new Holiday Tags Stamps and Dies. Very simple yet elegant for the upcoming holiday season and will hopefully bring some joy into someone's life! I know it would make my day to receive a treat like this!!
When I saw the freebie, I just knew I wanted to create an Advent calendar. I had seen them throughout the years on Pinterest and always wanted to try one. Though I just never seemed to find the time or drive to get one completed. Thankfully, this die was the driving force to kick me in gear to get one started and finished. It was so much fun to create, however, it was a bit time consuming. It took me a lot longer than I thought it would to get it looking just how I wanted. I really love how it turned out using all of Emma's amazing products!!
